I was very sad to hear he had passed away this week, I have very fond memories of Martin when I was teaching in Gallagher House. We had great craic in the classroom with his many stories and often some tricks he would play that would give lots of enjoyment. I got many birthday and Christmas cards and each of them beautifully decorated in the Mayo colours which was even more special to me! I’ll alway remember and treasure these. He enjoyed participating in class every week and we had so much fun. May his gentle soul rest in peace. Sinead

It was a privilege and a joy to have had the opportunity to help take care of Martin in Gallagher House but in all honesty he really needed very little.
