To Martin’s Family – my deepest sympathy to you on your loss. I was shocked and saddened to learn of Martin’s death. I worked with Martin in Department of Transport just before Martin moved to Medicall. Martin was a great work colleague and had a playful sense of humour. My sincerest condolences to you on the passing of Martin. I knew him from working in the Department of Transport. His warmth and wit were widely acknowledged by all who knew and worked with him.

My heart felt sympathies, Anne, Eoghan and Laura on the sudden loss of Martin. Martin and I clicked as friends as soon as we started working together in the Dept of Transport. We had great craic together and his banter and ready wit were huge assets.
We were very different. Martin loved order and structure, I'm more casual. I will never forget his face when he visited me at home when I was out sick and he realised that the 3 kitchen clocks were at slightly different times. Priceless.
Apart from the fun and banter he was a kind and caring person who got on well with everyone. We spent many lunchtimes in Doyles pub eating sandwiches (no green stuff on Martins plate) and setting the world to rights. I feel I know John, Claire and Frank from those chats and my sympathies are with them too. He and Laura were part of the Christmas Eve tradition in the Gingerman, and he will be sadly missed there.
I am glad he spent the last few years doing the job he loved best. I will miss him always

I was shocked to hear that Martin had passed. I always enjoyed the chats with Martin and I always think of him a one of those people who always remain young in their outlook. Sincere condolences to his friends and family - he will certainly leave a void but also many fantastic memories.

Martin, Mr. Darcy, The Minister and for a short period tail wind, were some of the names Martin, would answer to. In the 10 years I’ve known and worked with Martin I never saw him in bad form always dedicated and passionate about Medicall. It was part of who he was. He’d refer to Medicall as “we”! A gentleman, a character and a pleasure to be around. The gossip was always good and the slagging great! The better you got on the tougher the insults in our place. He took none of us too seriously and there was always craic and banter when Martin was around, usually propped up beside the dishwasher in the canteen! Myself and his work family are going to miss him so much around the place so I can’t imagine the pain and sadness Ann, Eoghan and Laura are feeling. I’m thinking of you all. He’ll never be forgotten X

Martin was a true gentleman and excellent in his job. I had many laughs and jokes with Martin over the last 5 years while out on jobs. Always good for supplying medicall pens , emergency chocolates and love heart sweets. Will truly be missed by his work colleagues and friends. So sad to hear of his passing.
