A wonderful man. Martin showed great courage and also empathy with the victims of crime. His sense of justice legendary I'd say.

I only learnt of Martins death yesterday.May his sweet soul rest in peace. to Joan and family our sincere condolences.

Deepest condolences to Joan, Ken, Patrick, Joanne and the extended Donnellan family on the death of their beloved Martin. I had the pleasure of working with Martin in Irishtown in the 1980’s and 90’s. I was very saddened to hear of his passing. He was a great leader who lead from the front and he was an inspiration to me and indeed I think to all who worked for and with him. I have nothing but fond memories of my time working with Martin and also the hospitality shown by Martin and Joan to myself and Ruth in those years. He was one of a kind and a genuine all round nice guy. May Martin’s gentle soul rest in peace.

I’m deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my old school pal, Martin. We shared many memories together back in our days at Drumatemple National School in Ballymoe. Martin was such a lovely boy to go to school with, always full of kindness, and he grew into a true gentleman.
