My sincere condolences to the Floyd family on the sudden passing of Martin. Many will remember him as a skilled worker but he was also an excellent and fearless goalkeeper with Glen Emmets for many seasons. Forwards learned quickly to stay out of his area. Martin won Louth minor championship in 1978, under 21 in 1981 and a junior title in 1983. He also represented his county between the posts. He was a generous and willing worker for the club. I have great memories and stories from times spent in his company. Like our football games together we had good days and bad days, but thats life. You left us too soon Big Man.
