Sincere condolences to Marian,Caroline, Declan, Tony and extended Goggins families on the passing of their beloved Martin. I met Martin in January 1981 when he asked me if he could look after some transport of Packaging at Connaught Packaging which I had just set up for Smurfit Packaging in a unit of the Sugar Company in Tuam. He was young ,enthusiastic and impressed me. From then until July 1984 when I returned to Cork Martin delivered our Packing all over Ireland. He was totally dependable and never let us down. Martin was a fanatical supporter of the G.A.A., and especially his beloved Corofin and Galway. We hadn’t been in touch for quite a few years but last year we reconnected and called each other fairly often. I was so sad when he informed me of his terminal situation. I will treasure memories of the good times we shared over the years. Martin was a true gentleman and will be missed by all who made his acquaintance. May the Light of Heaven shine Brightly on his Gentle Soul. R.I.P.,.
