Martin Hehir

I was truly shocked and saddened this morning to hear of Martin's death. I had the privilege of working with him for many years in Element 6 ( De Beers ). Martin was a real gentleman. Sincere condolences to the extended Hehir family.

I've searched my soul to find words to send to all the Hehir family, especially Pat and Eileen, with the passing of their brother, Martin. Martin was a gentleman's gentleman...Salt of the earth. I loved when he'd come to America and would stay with Pat and Eileen. When we'd have a chat, even if the room was so full, he'd make you think you were the only one there he was talking to. He really cared what you had to say. Oh Martin I can't believe I won't see you again here on this earth. You will be so missed, especially that contagious smile of yours! And will you please say "hello" to my dear daughter, Denise R.I.P. And now, my dear friend Martin, may you Rest In Peace in the Arms of Our Blessed Lord. Until we meet again...

Very upset and saddened to hear of the passing of the wonderful gentleman Martin Hehir. He seemed to be omnipresent being at every Connolly Celtic match as our kids went through the various underage grades, always with his warm smile, gentle kind encouragement and respect. He will be greatly missed, but gave us the opportunity to make great family sporting memories. We are grateful and were blessed indeed by his presence.
