Martin Kavanagh

I don’t even know where to start. I will never forget our memories from my childhood, I will never forget the joy and tears in your eyes when i finally tracked you down at the beginning of this year after 2/3 years where u also expressed that u had been searching for me for years too. I couldn’t believe the hard times u was fighting when u first responded to me but u fought through it til the end and I am so unbelievably proud to call u my Uncle. We planned for u to call me once ur remission results had come through and it breaks my heart that u never got to tell me and I had to hear it from someone else. I know u wouldn’t blame me and u’d tell me to sort myself out however I feel ever so guilty that I didn’t find out until after 2 wks u’d passed and I’d missed your funeral. I will never forget how crushed I felt when I was informed. I’m going to Cornwall this month and I’m going to send of a message in a bottle explaining all about u then ur memories can travel around the world just like I did for my daughter as u thought that was lovely what we’d done for her. Now u can join her on traveling the seas and u can look after her. All those calls we had, the future plans we made, I’m distraught we never got to do any of them but atleast I found u and we had done lots of catching up. I will always cherish the last months I got with u. I love u always, forever and a day🫶🏼 Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.Amen🙏🏻

We are all saddened to hear of Martin's passing. Martin spent many an evening/night here working out of his chipper van. He always gave good service,very good food and kept his van very neat and clean. Martin "Snacks" was a lovely man and will be fondly remembered and missed by all who knew him. Very saddened by this news. I met Martin in the last few years of his life and he was so full of energy and opinions. An entertaining, experienced and kind man. My condolences to his family and friends. I am sure he will be missed by all. May God rest his soul.
