It was with extreme shock and deep sadness that we learned of the sudden, unexpected and untimely passing of Martin - a long standing colleague and friend who worked alongside us here in Griffiths.

I am sadden and shock in hearing of Martin passing. I remember Martin & Sharon when they lived in Cricklewood, many years ago before moving back to Ireland. My mum often would go out with Betty for tea & cake, l would join them when l came over from England.

I cannot express the sadness I feel hearing of Martins passing so suddenly. I have known Martin from a small child, the big brother of my closest childhood friend Sharon. We all grew up together on the same road in Dollis Hill and attended all the same schools. Their home was my second home and the Laffeys my second family. How honoured I feel. As teenagers we met Lorraine at school, we became friends and I was with them when Martin and Lorraine first met after getting back from a holiday with her. It was love at first sight and the rest is history. My deepest condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to Sharon, Lorraine, Pat and Lorraine and Martins three sons at this incredibly sad time. Martin, I will cherish all our childhood memories growing up, may you rest in loving peace. Your little sisters best friend Eva xxx
