Heartfelt sympathy to all the Lyons family on the sad passing of Martin.He was our milkman for many years in Granitefield. Such a lovely man, always good humoured & so funny & would cheer up the darkest days. May the Lord fill that empty place in all your hearts with His love. Rest in peace Martin.

I'm sorry to hear of the passing of Martin Snr Mr Lyons as I knew him. My memories of him to was the milkman from premier Diaries, he's was a gentleman quiet and always had a cheeky smile when he saw you.
Flying his pigeons and bringing Mrs lyons shopping with the dogs in tow.
You were always very kind to us growing up having the chats with mum and dad, now both gone, it's sad to see another pass.
Thinking of you all at this sad time.

I was so sorry to hear about Martin. Having lived beside you all for donkeys years, it really feels like losing part of the road’s history.
Growing up to me, he was always Martin the milkman and the pigeon man, and I remember himself and Dad having the chats.
Especially with us losing Dad last year, I know how much those old neighbourhood memories mean. Thinking of you and all the family at this time.

I was deeply saddened to hear about Martin’s passing.
He was truly one of a kind — a great dad, a genuinely good man, and someone with an amazing sense of humor that could brighten even the longest day. I’ll never forget working with him on the milk round, collecting money late at night, listening to his funny stories and laughing the whole way through. He had a way of making even the ordinary moments memorable.
Martin spoke with such passion about his pigeons — you could see how much they meant to him. That dedication and love said so much about the kind of person he was.
He was just a great guy, and I feel lucky to have known him and worked alongside him. He will be remembered with a smile and missed deeply.
