I am very saddened to hear that Martin has moved on.
I have many good memories of Martin when we were
growing up in Ballybrit.
The song "Seasons in the Sun" always reminds me of Martin when we were children in Briarhill School together.
We were very close growing up until after the end of High School ("The Tech").
I still remember Martin with many memories of the times we had together, growing up and in our youth.
Praying that God will help you through this difficult time.

We were shocked and saddened to hear of Martin”s passing, our deepest sympathies to Debra, Jacinta, stepchildren, step grandchildren and of course the Collins family.
Ollie & I first met Martin at the Corrib Bar in Brighton and quickly became buddies. Martin had a fantastic smile and was always out for a laugh and that was never more evident than on the day of our wedding with him hitting unsuspecting guests with the bread rolls. Martin lived with us for awhile and he loved blasting the music from the stereo( I am more than sure that the neighbors had choice words to say about him). Ollie and I can never not hear the song “I’ve got friends in low places” without saying , that’s Martin Scruff’s song.
Martin thanks for all the fun that we had with you in our younger years in Boston, we are more than sure that Garth Brooks is blasting out with you in heaven. You can rest easy now, so glad that we knew you for a little part of our lives.

I first met Martin back in 1983 when he did a 2 week work placement in Northern Telecom, he was a character then and I always enjoyed meeting him over the years, his smile was infectious and the photo is how we all will remember him.
