We were so deeply saddened and shocked to hear of Maxie's sudden passing, especially after we had spoken with you just hours before and were encouraged by the news of his progress. However, We find solace in knowing that God's plan ultimately prevails.

Maxie was truly the heart and soul of every family gathering, always ready to share his passion for music. His voice was a true gift, and his performances will forever echo in our memories.

His love for family and friends was evident in everything he did, and his laughter was infectious.

Maxie wore the Synge Street jersey with such pride over so many decades. I remember him presenting every player O ‘Neills shorts and socks so we were togged out properly to represent the club. Looking back what Maxie,fellow players and management achieved At Synge Street is incredible and Templeogue Synge Street is such a vibrant club now. You’re generosity as a family has reached so many. Maxie will live on through you all.
