My Deepest Sympathy Joan and all the McCarthy family and friends at this sad time with the passing of Martin. I served as a trustee with Martin for many years on the Bord Gais Eireann pension board. Martin was an absolute gentleman, hardworking, caring, kind, very considerate, highly thought of by all his work colleagues , trustees, in the Gas Company.

Martin was one of a kind and they don’t make them like him anymore. It was always a pleasure to be in Martin’s company with a great love of the Dubs, Gaa, a good trade unionist , and always thinking of getting the best for his colleagues. Martin will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but leaves a legacy of a great life with so many positive and complimentary comments about a great colleague and gentleman.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all, May Martin Rest In Peace.
