Conor & family, very sad to hear about Martin's passing. Just reading the other condolences here and the lovely tribute to him on the Highfield Squash club website, it brings back lovely memories of the great contribution that he made in the sporting experience of so many. His passion for all aspects of the sport was infectious and he was always more than happy to advise and help others of all abilities. A life well lived. May he rest in peace.

I have just learnt of the passing of Martin. My sincere condolences to Marie, Catherine, Pam, Conor & their extended family. Martin was a great neighbour when we lived next door. Thinking of you all at this sad time.

I only heard earlier today if Martins sad passing.My sympathies to Marie, Conor and the o Donoghue family. We had great times in the Ball Alley in Rochestown & later in the Squash Courts in Highfield. A gentleman- a competitor and an overall great man to have known. May he rest in peace.

I first met Martin when he was about 13 years old when our family returned to Ireland for a visit in the late forties. Martin was living with Denny and Hannah Corcoran in Rathanker. Condolences to Marie and all the family. May he Rest in Peace.

I had the pleasure of meeting Martin through squash and racquetball in the barrs club over 20 years ago
And we played a few games together
He was an absolute gentleman but we lost contact and I met him in haven bay just before Christmas and was delighted to see him again
He will be sadly missed

Very sad to hear about Martin's passing. He was a superb squash coach who generously shared his Ideas and values with others. His thinking was way ahead of his time. In Thurles we have brought the wonderful game of squash to hundreds of children over the past 35 years. This wouldn't have happened without Martin's knowledge, advice, help and support! Thank you Martin, rest in peace.

Very sad to hear about Martin's passing. He coached me and the boys in Highfield as junior squash players and gave us many years of enjoyment while touring the country playing at a high level. Martin was a legend of Highfield and Munster Squash and will be solely missed for sure. My deepest condolences to Conor and the entire family. Thanks for the memories,rest in peace sir 🙏

I've fond memories of Martin in Highfield over the many years. He truly loved Squash plus bringing Philip to his games or training sessions. My late husband Bryan alway loved Martin's stories & commentary on squash matches.
