Martin was as wonderful man and a good friend. His devotion to his late wife "Nell" during her long illness was heroic. She was the love of his life. Apart from his love of his family there was a very strong attachment to his beloved "Post Office" He would regale me with some stories about his experiences usually full of humour. I suggested many times that they were worthy to be told on "Sunday Miscellany" He was very independent in every way. His wonderful daughter "Geraldine" followed in his footsteps by caring for him over the recent years.
