So sad this morning when I heard this news after mass in Rathcoffey. Martina was such a great neighbour to us when we lived on the Long road in Rathcoffey. She is now reunited with her brother Edward whom we had the pleasure of living beside for a few years. Martina was a pure lady who was so thoughtful and kind. To all the Dowd family we wish to extend our deepest condolences. Rest in peace Martina and give our love to Edward from your new home in heaven.

I am so sorry for your loss and I always enjoyed my conversations with Martina in the Bon Bon shop. It is an amazing coincidence that she died 40 years to the minute of aunty May’s and she is now reunited with the rest of the extended Dowd family in Heaven. I really appreciated Martina looking after the family graves so well over the years in Bohernabrena cemetery
