Dear Anthony, Gavan, and Declan, I am so very sorry to hear about Martina's passing . May God give you strength. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace Martina. Deepest Condolences,
Michael, Deirdre, and Boys.
Martina,
You represented everything in life that is good and decent. I have many happy memories of great nights in Mountbellew and beyond and always the early mornings in Menlough. I loved your wit and wisdom and you could tell a story like no other. However, your real trademark was your integrity. You may have had a short life but it was a life well spent and brimming with goodness. You will be sorely missed. God Bless You.

Sincere sympathy to Anthony, Gavan, Declan and all the Gavins.

“Remember me when this you see. Remember me forever. Remember the good old days we spent in St Cuans together”.

Martina, I am both shocked and very, very sad at your passing. You were one of the most upright people that I have ever known. You were a strong character who shot from the hip, said what you meant and meant what you said – regardless of circumstance or consequence. We had many a laugh in St Cuans and you were no doubt the best in our class. In fact, you were in a class all of your own. So much so, that before the Leaving in ’79 you took it upon yourself with another great class mate Gerry Kelly, to give a crash course in Math to those of us who weren’t quite so up to par. It was really no great surprise that you became a teacher and by all accounts a great one. You were a leader not a follower, one in a million, loyal and true but what I loved about you most was your brutal honesty. You were never afraid to stand up for what you believed. I am both privileged and honoured to have known you. Ar Dheis De go raibh a Ainm Dilis.

My heartfelt condolences to Anthony, Gavan, Declan and all the Gavins.
