Dear Michael, Caroline, Katie, the O’Hara and Kildalton families, please accept our sincerest condolences on the loss of your beloved Martina. Martina was like a sister to our sister Betty who is heartbroken by her passing. I love the photo you chose for her RIP notification showing her pointing at the flowers and reminded me that Martina never needed words when she had her finger - this finger was used for all her communications - she used it to point at food or drinks she wished to have or waved away if she didn’t, it was used to request you to sit beside her or point you to where she decided you should sit and numerous other ways those who knew her best would understand and if she decided you had overstayed your welcome she would politely point you towards the door!!! She helped us to realise that communication comes in many different forms - she was an educator, was very loved and will be sorely missed. May her sweet, gentle soul Rest in Peace.
