May held you all in the highest regard and was immensely proud of her family. Her face would visibly light up whenever she spoke about her grandchildren and, indeed, her great-grandchildren.

May truly epitomised the term lady. She was softly spoken yet self-assured, with a genuine interest in people.

My late father greatly enjoyed meeting her in the creamery, where their conversations often drifted to times past and to stories of their school days together. After his passing, whenever I met May, she never failed to ask about his brothers and sisters, a kindness I always appreciated. It was always a pleasure to be in her company, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Dear Margaret and Michael,

Bob and I want to extend our deepest sympathies to both of you and to the entire Sexton and Barry family. Aunt May was such a wonderful person and I have such clear memories of when all of you lived in Hollis Queens and the fun we had as children at your house in NY and then once you moved to Ireland all the summers we had tea and cake and so many conversations at your moms kitchen table. She was always so welcoming to Margaret, Sean and me and I will always remember her kindness and the fun times we shared. My parents often spoke so highly of your parents and what a beautiful farm and family they created. I am sure wonderful happy memories of your mom will live on and bring you joy especially in this time of such sorrow. We will be watching the funeral from New York and wish we could be there in person. All our sympathy,
