I am so saddened to hear of Mary’s sudden death. She gave such a wonderful service to her community in her role as Preschool Leader in Portroe which was run by North Tipperary Community Services, Loreto House. She loved each and every child who passed through its doors. She cared for them as if they were her own.
You have lost a wife and mother but know that almost a whole generation of Portroe children are also mourning the loss of their ‘other mother’. Rest in peace Mary - your job on this earth is done.

She had such a lovely warm and friendly personality, kind and caring, with a great sense of fun. I have lovely memories of Mary B, and her assistants walking up the "Hill of Port", in the month of June each year, with children from the Preschool, on a visit to the Junior Infant classroom. This was in preparation for the children's next adventure in September. Thinking of you all at this very sad and difficult time. May Mary B's gentle soul rest in peace.
