We have only heard of Mary's passing today & we wish to pass on our condolences to her family . Mary was a kind & spirited lady . May she rest in peace
We were shocked to hear only this morning about Mary's passing from this life. Mary has been a part of our lives for over 25 years, at first when my son Ian was born (now 25) and we lived in Douglas, Mary helped out with ironing. She continued to come to help out when we moved to Kinsale. In latter years, we have had less frequent contact but nevertheless, we remained in touch. Her life story was inspiring and she attracted friendships with the most interesting and at the same time the most ordinary people. She was always interested in our lives and never failed to send us birthday cards - a hallmark of Mary's generosity of spirit, she may not have had much but always managed to find something meaningful to send and to show she valued our place in her life. I have been travelling abroad quite a bit for work in recent times and Mary sent me a birthday card, one month early, (13th Sept for 13th Oct). It feels sad to think that maybe she knew she wouldn't be around tomorrow. We are grateful for the way our lives have been touched by Mary's generosity of spirit and we will miss the connection to her. We send our heartfelt condolences to her family, who may, perhaps not have had the opportunity to know her in the way we have. May she now be received into the arms of the Lord with love. Monica Ross on behalf of Monica, Dave and Ian.
