Very shocked and saddened to just learn of the passing of my Auntie Mary, I have wonderful memories of Mary growing up. Mary was so very kind both in words and deeds and would often give me good and honest advice during my formative years.

I was in shock when I heard Mary had passed...still am. I was just with her on the Wed in her room in Our Lady of Lourdes chatting and laughing, her son John I think was with us. I can't quite believe she's gone. My God....
May Our Merciful Father fill the family with strength to get over this big loss. Her presence in our lives was monumental and she will really be missed.

I was so sad to hear the news about aunty Mary. As a child, I have such lovely memories of visiting her with my dad – always greeted with her warm smile, a glass of lemonade and delicious buns. We’d sit around the table chatting or enjoy time in her beautiful, immaculate garden, Brendan’s pride and joy.
I know how fond my dad was of her, and their close relationship was something truly special to admire. I have a lovely memory of her visiting my dad when he was in hospital.
She was such a talented artist – her beautiful work still hangs on the walls of our family home house, a lasting reminder of her talent and creativity.
I take comfort in knowing that she, Brendan, and my dad will be reunited in heaven and look down on us all.
My thoughts and heartfelt sympathies are with you all at this difficult time.

Heartbroken to hear the news. Growing up Auntie Mary was such a source of artistic inspiration for me. She was a talented painter and artist and we shared a love for creativity and art. She was such a generous soul and always encouraged me to be creative, even buying me art supplies when I was little including my first ever fancy set of paints.

On visits I fondly remember the warmest of welcomes, big smiles, a cuppa tea and a mini showcase of the latest paintings. They were often delicate watercolour paintings capturing ordinary things and making them extraordinary.
