I had the pleasure of getting to know Mary when she joined the team at Ballymun Adult Read and Write Scheme as a volunteer tutor. Mary's gentle and patient nature provided the adult literacy learners with whom she worked the opportunity to develop literacy skills and build confidence in a relaxed manner. She always had the best interest of her learners at heart. Mary was a kind and encouraging colleague and I was so sorry to hear of her recent passing.
