I knew Mary when we both lived in Henry Street, She was a kind, gentle person and her apple tarts were legendary. It is with deep sadness that I heard of her death. I have many lovely memories of Mrs Burke. In later years we spent quite a bit of time putting the world to rights while chatting on her front steps on my way home from work.
