Mary Capplis

It's so very sad to hear of Mary's death. She was my colleague many years ago in Dublin City Libraries and she was such a pleasure to work with. Funny and gentle, kind and fully committed to whatever work she took on. She is a sad loss to family and friends. All my condolences to them . May she sleep in peace to the sound of celestial music.

I am still in shock at the realisation that Mary is no longer with us on this physical earth. I had the pleasure and honour to have met Mary through my work with IT, in the LGMA. Mary was so patient and kind, never complaining when her computer gave her trouble. I had just spoken with her on the Wednesday before she passed. Little would I know that would be our last conversation. I can still hear her kind caring voice in my thoughts, her laughter and great humour, as if she is still here. Her death is too early. Life can be very unfair sometimes. My thoughts are with you...those who knew Mary as a close friend or family member. It's a huge loss. My prayers and condolences are with you. Mary is certainly in a better place now...sometimes God takes people early, as they are too good for this very imperfect world we inhabit. Mary is in a new place now, you don't grieve in vain...you will meet her again, in the realm of the afterlife, where we are all destined.

John, I am so sorry to hear of the sad loss of your sister, Mary. I'm thinking of you and yours at this very sad time.

Its with deep sadness to learn of Marys passing. So very sad to hear that Mary has passed. Sincere condolences to her family. I knew Mary from our morning commute to Belfast when she was at the school of music. We sat together in an empty carraige chatting about life a couple of mornings a week, often joined by the train staff (Robbie and Mary) who would always sit to chat with Mary. She was a lovely person, very humble and very caring. A shining star. I am very sorry for your loss.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Mary's passing. An absolute lady who I had the pleasure of working alongside on many projects, becoming friends over the years. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.

We want to express our deepest sympathies to Mary’s family. Mary was a wonderful member of the Oriel Traditional Orchestra from the start. She always contributed positively, often in ways that were largely unseen but made a big difference. Her positive attitude, dedication and love of music was always evident. She was a friend to everybody and quick to help, coming to the fore at a variety of times. Her organisational abilities shone when we travelled to Scotland – she put together an itinerary, including a trip to Roslyn Castle where we played the eponymous tune, a performance in the Irish consulate, and of course the awards ceremony where she shared in our joy. Only two weeks ago she performed with us in Omeath and was looking forward to our upcoming performance in Keady. We will miss her greatly and are grateful for the opportunity to provide a musical goodbye. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.
