Dear Mick and family, please except my condolences on your great loss of Mary. I first met Mary in July 2002 on a visit to St. Joseph’s Cemetery when she and Megan were playing in the back yard. I think Megan was about 2. We had a grand chat then and I tried to see her each time I visited Cork, although it has been a number of years, I still have a photo of Mick, Mary, and Megan on my refrigerator!

She was a great neighbour when Seán and myself moved in to 104 all those years ago and it was always a pleasure to meet her in Town occasionally in the years between. Nobody could make a Sponge Cake as light as she could they were 2nd to none.
