Deeply sorry to learn of Mary Claffey's passing. Mary and I became friends in 1946 when we were in Loreto Convent making a friendship that eventually became life long. Memories of that life are too numerous to list but were everlasting. Mary was accomplished piano player an excellent student, and secondary school teacher. Ah, dear Mary Claffey, a lady through and through and one of the marvellous staff of CBS, Tower Hill back in the day. I was lucky enough to have been a student there and when I returned to complete my 'Dip' as it was known then, Mary couldn't have been more supportive. I look back on my education there with great fondness and am so lucky to have had the best teachers and mentors. Thank you, Mary. May your gentle soul rest in peace.
