I have just heard of the passing of Mary may she rest in peace. Mary was best friends with my mother Noelle since childhood and was very much a part of our family. A most kind, funny, elegant lady, Mary will remain in my heart.

Mary’s energy enlivened all our encounters; her interest in everything and her store of fascinating reminiscences made her a generous and wonderful companion.
Her more-than-seventy-year friendship with my mother was important for both of them and I was fortunate to have been adopted into it.
Always stylish and elegant in appearance, Mary’s impeccable manners and bearing gifted us the graces of an earlier era.
Our Christmases will be the poorer for her absence.
Sincere sympathy to Terry and all Mary’s family and friends.
A life well-lived.

Prayers assured for Mary, a real lady who we had the great pleasure of hosting when she came here for a short visit and for allowing us to be with her (and Eilis and Willie Walsh) when we visited An Dysart in Dingle as she explained Harry Clarke’s insights in the chapel windows he executed for Nano Nagle’s Presentation Sister colleagues.
We were so sorry to hear today of Mary’s passing. She was a lovely lady ,so interesting and well informed.
We miss her coming in and our chats. May she rest in peace. Audrey and staff at Doyle’s Pharmacy
Sincere sympathy to Mary's family on her recent death. She was a great supporter of the Loreto Past Pupils' Union over many years. She shared many interesting stories about her life when we met up at various events and outings. May she rest in peace.
I have many lovely memories of Mary Clarke who was so helpful and kind to those interested in her uncle Harry Clarke, her brother Terence Clarke and the artists of the Harry Clarke Stained Glass Studios. Mary was a highly intelligent and informative lady who was also most hospitable to art historians and others.
The last of my Cousins of that generation. A lovely gracious and charming person. How lucky I was to have known her.
Deeply saddened by the news of Mary's death. She was such a lovely, gentle, bright and friendly lady, so loyal to her family, and a lover of Art. Her presence at the Purser-Griffith lectures in U.C.D. and membership of the group that visited Paris in 1996 were greatly appreciated by all her fellow-students. May she rest in peace.
Sincere sympathy Mahon and Clarke familys on the passing of Mary . May her gentle soul Rest in peace
Condolences to the Clarke family. Mary was a great neighbour and friend to Mum and Dad. May she rest in eternal peace.
We are deeply saddened by Mary’s death. She was a most erudite, kind and witty person who was equally at home discussing Art, Shakespearean soliloquy’s or Classical music. But above all she possessed a deep personal faith which sustained her through the trials and tribulations of life. She truly understood the meaning of charity. Her passing has left a huge void in our lives .

We send our condolences to the Clarke and Mahon families on the death of our dear friend Mary. She was wonderful person who always had a “céad míle fáilte” for us when we visited Ireland. Mary you will always have a place in our Breton hearts.
May she rest in peace.
Mary was such kind, generous and witty lady. She was a great person to visit and always had a story to tell. Her energy and positive outlook on life was an inspiration.
Sincere condolences to her family at this sad time. May she rest in peace.
It was a privilege to know Mary and spend time with her. From her visits with John & Paddy when we were young, to more recently sharing fish & chip dinners in Howth when I was home. She lived a life of kindness and generosity. She always had an experience to share or a story to tell and was always interested in my travels and adventures abroad. As I was leaving her house the last time I saw her, she said, with a hand punching the air, “just keep going”. Will do Mary! My sincere condolences to all the Clarke & Mahon families at this sad and difficult time. May she rest in peace.
In life you were filled with fortitude - let the angels look after you now - Rest In Peace.remembering your kindness always xx
