Very sorry to hear of Mary’s passing . I have very fond memories of Mary & all the McCarthy family when they lived next door to us on Casino Road . May she rest in peace .

Even though I didn’t know Mary, Delia McCarthy so highly of her Aunt. My sincere condolences go out to Geraldine and her extended family. Rest in peace 🙏🏻✝️

Sincerest sympathies and condolences to you Geraldine on the passing of Mary and my apologies for not hearing of the sad news in time to attend her funeral. As cousins, Nuala and her mother Nell (Scanlon) were very fond of Mary and you, and all “the girls” your aunts Peg, Nell & Bridget too! I have good memories of our visits to your mum and indeed your father Bob in Clontarf over the years and more recently happy memories of the fun we had meeting with you both, along with my wife Aisling, at a family function on Killarney. Mary was also brilliant at keeping in touch with me and the family through the annual Christmas card, to my regret without reply by me. Thinking of you. Geraldine, many condolences on the loss of your mam Mary from my mam Collette and I. Mam was very sorry to hear of Mary's passing - she remembers how kind Mary was to her when they were working together in Richie Ryan's solicitors, and how well they got on together. She talked about them hanging out the window of their office on Dame Street when JFK was in town in 1963, getting a bird's eye view of the motorcade going past. May she rest in peace.
