We started in Jervis street on the same day and we remained in contact during the intervening years; class reunions, Rosslare and more recently our retired nurses social group, taking in many different coach tours and hotel breaks in the last 20 years.

Mary always kept us entertained recalling funny memories of our early working career and showband years.

I have just received the heart breaking news of my dearest friend Mary's death .Sincere sympathy to Mary's family her husband Seamus whom Mary talked about with humour and love.Her children Pam, Helen and the boys (and the black pigs)some one of them kept .We had some great laughs about these ! Mary and I shared 65 years of friendship ,love and laughter as active and retired nurses,our most recent time shared was a trip to Clonakilty 2 years ago with the retired nurses.I could go on forever with stories from Jervis St and Rotunda Hospital as students .Thank you My friend Mary for all of these .memories. Rest in peace now and keep on loving and caring for your family as you have done over your lifetime here. (From Mrs Boquet)
