Davitts was a household name with our family coming and going to Kenmare over more than 30 years. Mary always had a warm and generous welcome for our visits and always looked after us in every way. She will be sorely missed not only by her family but by the much wider community in Kenmare and beyond. Mary, rest in peace.

Only just heard the news. Shocked beyond words. My heart goes out to Donal, David and Chloe. Kenmare will never be the same again. Truly one of the kindest people I ever knew.

So absolutely shocked hearing about Mary's death a couple of weeks after her burial.... She was a welcoming beacon for all in Kenmare. She managed to run a business that never disappointed, even with changing staff... She was always in a good mood and one of the best clients I ever had... we did Davitts together... and she made it her own. Kenmare has lost one one it's favourite persons, a place that is difficult to fill... Of course there is a family behind her and wish them all lots of strength to cope with the loss of such a wonderful woman!

I was shocked to hear of Mary's passing, when I stopped by to say hello.

Mary was so kind to me when I first came to Kenmare. I stayed with her and it was like a home away from home. She always managed to give me the same room.

In the years since then, I enjoyed meeting her whenever I was in Kenmare.
She was a fabulous lady, warm and kind and she had a great way with people.

I am so very sorry for your devestating loss.

Mary, may you rest in peace. We will all miss your cheerful smile and welcome.

All o‘s came to Kenmare and stayed in their house on the water for 8 or9 yrs
years every summer. Mary was so wonderful. She introduced us to all of Ken Meyer we celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary and she celebrated with us with her family. I loved playing with David Chloe came later. It was so wonderful. I cannot believe Mary is gone. Peg lived to be older and I thought Mary would follow in their footsteps. Oh my heart is just really sad tonight Family please know that we’re thinking of you and Marion and Patrick and Jeremiah all the family that we knew and Ona..wish I could be there with all of you. Oh that would be so wonderful for me. OK God bless. We will have Mass sad and keep her in our prayers. God bless all of you. I just found out this evening so I’m late in getting back to you God bless you, David . I remember you and I used to play on the rug with the rum rums with the cars. OK I will say good night and I’m so sorry for your loss.
