Mary was always such a friendly and cheerful person and Scanlon's shop was where it all happened in the Moorefield triangle. Back in the day, with Con's butcher shop next door, we were well provided for with essentials. Having known the Scanlon famoly all my life, it's hard to imagine that I won't encounter Mary and her cheery greeting and chat any more. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

So very sorry to hear this morning of Mary's passing. Sincere condolences to all her family. Scanlan's, both in Mary's time and in her father, Jack's, was the hub around which life in the Moorefield area operated. Great memories of so many lovely people, since departed, who shopped there and the welcome they always received from the Scanlan family. May Mary rest in peace.
