Mary Cunningham

Our deepest sympathies to Connell, Emer, Nuala and Paul on Mary's passing. We spent many years together in St Raphaela's as friends and colleagues. We shared a love of sewing, regularly exchanging ideas and tips. And time was also enjoyed putting the world, both local and global, to rights. Mary's influence has been far-reaching and she will be missed.

We are so very sorry to hear that Mary has died. She was a great friend of our mother Kitty who predeceased her by just a few months. Would be nice to think they are catching up on all the news… thinking of you all.

We used to have a bit of fun about ‘the west is best’ … with her being from Donegal .. and I was from Co Sligo !!
(and spenting my summers there )
She was one of those teachers whose warmth remained in your memory of our Sec. School days

My heartfelt sympathy to all Mary's family at this very sad time. Mary was so kind to me when I was redeployed to St Raphaela's many moons ago. Her warm but practical nature made a difficult situation so much easier. Many a Friday lunchtime was spent around her kitchen table putting the world to rights! Suaimhneas síoraí duit, Mary.

Very fond memories of Mrs Cunningham. She was the best of teachers - took absolutely no nonsense from us, but her classes were always fun! Sincere condolences. May she rest in peace.

So very sorry to hear of the sad passing of Mrs Cunningham. Have very fond memories of her Home Economics classes. Still love Home Economics to this day because of her. She was a wonderful teacher.
