Sincere Sympathy to all the Delaney family on the recent loss of your Mum.Mrs Delaney gave me my first Summer job working in the kiosk at Portmarnock beach in 1969 and continued into the early 70's with the younger Ryan sisters.Very happy memories of her as my1st employer being only a young teenager.She made the best 99's and the kiosk went down in history for her ice cream.May Mrs Delaney rest in peace now after a long life.

I have great memories of times spent in your house in Portmarnock as a child when my late mum Maureen Haughey visited yours. I also remember the kiosk and lovely icecream! Our childhood memories of your fun, generosity and kindness on our annual summer holidays in Portmarnock stay with us forever. Will never forget what you gave us as children, and adults, to help establish our love of Ireland. Will miss you Aunty Mary. To all the Delaney family my deepest condolences and sympathy on the loss of your Mam. It would be hard to put into words how Mary played a huge part in my teenage years alongside my dearest friend Philomena 0'Connor . We went to work for her in the kiosk back in 1975 and when I say she was a formidable woman even back then . Many summers spent pulling 99 cones and the lines of beachgoers we would often be there until after 10 pm when the weather was good. She was generous and very good to us .I have very fond memories of that time . I continued to stay in touch through the years after I moved to the states . Sadly after I left Portmarnock I lost contact but would hear how she was doing . It is our memories now that will sustain us through grief and loss. Rest in piece Mary .
