My dearest Irish friend through 11 years has passed away, which grieves my heart so much! I miss her deeply! We had almost a daily contact through all the years, and even in all of her hardships and agony, she had always an encouring word to share. She was a very special woman and a faithful friend, who made my life blessed. My thoughts and prayers goes to you, dear Josephine, her beloved mother, and everyone else who loved Mary and miss her. Mary “The Gem” Dinan was an ignited connector who called the intercessors to pray for whatever need presented itself in the lives of others. Her vibrancy never dulled regardless of what she encountered in her own body. She would send “love nuggets” and “joy spreaders” in the form of pictures, songs, memes, emojis and voice messages to touch our moments.

I miss Mary already and thank God for her life.

Beautiful Mary impacted countless lives including mine, with her contagious joy, unyielding faith, love and humor. Jesus shined so bright in and through her. She left a fingerprint on so many. We shall meet in eternity and will share that coffee we’ve looked forward to. Our deepest condolences to you Josephine.

I meet her a few times through my daughter Sinead Darby in Newcourt School She was a great JFK fan and so was I and she gave me some memorabilia which I have treasured.

Mary was a lovely person who added a sparkle to this world. She embraced and rejoiced in nature and the simple things in life. Her unshakeable faith proved a shield to thwart the illness that she fought with great resolve and stoicism. She will be remembered by her broadcasting friends in RTE and BLB for her professionalism (and wicked sense of humour). Mary's earned her VIP place in the next chapter. RIP

I wish Mary's family love and support at this time. I knew Mary going back to the 80's when we were in BLB Radio. I remember the excitement when Mary got into RTE Television, we were all so proud of her. Such a talented person and always smiling and bright when you talked with her. Her passing is terribly sad and Mary is in my thoughts. Rest in Peace Lovely Lady x
