Mary was a dear friend to me for many years as was your Dad Derek, she was such a loyal kind person. She always kept in touch with her regular phone calls and a card for every occasion in my life. Gone but never forgotten.

So sorry to hear this morning of dear Mary’s sad passing RIP. We went to school together in Daingean, many years ago. Mary was a bright caring pupil and very popular with both teachers and pupils. I am so appreciative to have had Mary D as a friend. She possessed a rare combination of strength and kindness, always ready with a listening ear and a warm smile.

Mary D, was a wonderful colleague, in our times working at both SVUH and NRH. Always professional and made such a significant impact, in her field of expertise.

I will always cherish memories, sharing countless moments, so special over the years.

Most of all, I loved our long chats, shared late into the night, under the glow of her favourite candle, over a glass of wine in her home in Loughlinstown. I feel honoured to call her a true friend.
