I rented a room & lived with Mary for couple of months.
Will never forget our after work evenings. We used to watch crime thriller series based on true events together while drinking tea and snacking on crackers topped with cheese & onion chutney! We would have all that deep talk about psychology trying to analyze behavioral patterns.
That delicious apple crumble she made from the apples she picked from her garden.The cherry tomato pasta nights on the weekend.. she said its the best pasta dish she ever had!
Lots of beautiful memories will stay with me for ever.
Rest in peace Mary.

I still can’t believe Mary went so quickly once she stopped all treatment.
I was talking to her on the phone a few weeks ago & she was still upbeat even though she knew they couldn’t treat her any longer.
It was a pleasure to have known Mary, she was very good to my mother after my father died, she used to drop into her every day & still stayed in contact with her when she moved to Dublin.
I shall miss the telephone chats, Mary was a great listener & you knew she didn’t gossip.
She was so very proud of you Emma, you are a credit to her.
She will always be with you In spirit.

Mary always made me feel so welcome in her home, night and day. Her warmth and generosity was always a given whether we were taking over her sitting room, raiding her fridge or just being in her company.

I loved her laugh, it was just so infectious. I will always remember it, especially when she was chuckling to herself in the hallway after she threw one of her one liners.

Mary was a lady and I feel honoured to have known her. I always will remember her and I will never forget her kindness and generosity xx
