I am so sorry to hear of Máire's passing and extend my deepest condolences to all the family. I attended parent irish classes led by Máire in Scoil an tSeachtar Laoch at a time of my life when things seemed endlessly chaotic - small baby, busy boisterous toddler, older child in school. I arrived every week with the two smallies for our class and Máire always made us feel so welcome, with endless patience for and joy in the kids. I genuinely will never forget the impact of her kindness and welcoming spirit at that time, when lots of things seemed very hard. Sleep well Máire, the world will miss you. Joanne, Peadar and Róise

I was so sorry to hear Mary had died. It was always lovely to see her when she came to work in Ballymun library. She was unfailingly good humoured, kind and a pleasure to chat with. Conversations with her were never dull, she was very interested in everything.

There are times when words are just not enough to express an emotion and this is one of them. From the first time Mary and Des fetched up as our next door neighbours in Santry over forty years ago she has been a true spirit of kindness to us, our children and grandchildren. With her wry sense of humour she always looked on the bright side. Deepest sympathies to Des, Fiona, Eimear and Tiarnán and all the Doolans.
