Gillian, Barbara, Peter, Valerie, Avril, Jennifer, sons in law Matthew, Stephen, Gary and Con and daughter in law Wendy; her grandchildren, Samantha, Peter, Rabecca, Erin, Jamie, Finn, Alex, Danielle and Dylan; her sister-in-law Doreen, nieces, nephews, extended family & friends - we send you our deepest regrets for the passing of a lovely jovial lady with a great sense of humour whom we got to know in the last few years only when picking up auntie Doreen on airport trips from SFO. She was staying with Mary. We’d then go in for the ‘cupán tae’ and chat & subsequently kept contact via WhatsApp sharing several photos, jokes and updates on family news.
She was obsessed with Jennifer’s new dog Barkley when he arrived, but the icing on the cake was the arrival of her youngest grandson, Dylan. She was thrilled for her ‘baby’ Jennifer on his birth and sent the photos.
She has shown great resilience in the midst of illnesses. Her upbeat approach to life, inner strength and wittiness amazed me and a great example to me.
I haven’t met any of you but she talked a lot about her family and felt great pride in you all and her grandchildren.
I sincerely hope she is at peace as she joins her late husband Denis & sons in the great garden of Paradise.
