To all of Mary Ellen's whole family my thoughts are with you all. The mind drifts back to the "70s and old Lisselton national school and the huge gang of us children heading north up the hill road when school was out. I remember my neighbor Mary Ellen as a lovely girl with a sunny disposition and a studied thoughtfulness. Mary's life is now placed in the memory of the living. Perhaps the following quote from the Roman author Marcus Cicero is apt for Mary -
" The last day does not bring extinction to us , but change of place. Nor do I regret that I have lived , since I have so lived that I think I was not born in vain, and I quit life as if it were an inn not a home." May the Creator lay a hand of peace and acceptance on all of you who grieve.
