I have only just heard of Mary's passing. I am so sorry to hear that Mary passed away. I never met Mary but talked to her on the phone many times regarding work and Mary was always helpful and pleasant. May Mary Rest in Peace. Sympathy to all of her family.

I have spent the past days trying to find words to say the right things. There are no words and sometimes I have to give up and fall back on the conventional phrases because there are no words.

I know how deeply her tragic loss has affected he colleagues in the Department and that is a demonstration of how valued she was and the quality of the person she was. Deepest condolences to all Mary's family on your sudden loss. I have known Mary through work in DoT and our common interest was running which we always had chats about. She always amazed me at her enthusiasm and love for the sport. I would see her running on lunch breaks in TCD and various other places around town. A true inspiration and such a loss who will be sorely missed by all her work colleagues. Rest in peace Mary.
