We met Mary through Brigid, who was a very good friend. I thought Mary was lovely and I can imagine that you are all heartbroken to have lost her. Our thoughts are with you at this very difficult time.

We just arrived in Fanore and learned about Mary’s passing. We are heartbroken. She was such a great friend to us when we showed up at the craft store back in the 1990s and stayed a very important person to us all these years… even when we hadn’t spoken in a number of years. Mary was a positive force in all that she did. In recent times our paths did not cross but my thoughts of her and Matt in Doolin, or once or twice staying with me in Dublin, come joyously into my mind.

I am so sorry to hear of Mary Gray's death. We were at school together, so it's a long time since we met, but hearing her name again, brings back beautiful memories of a smiling, laughing, tall school friend, whose voice is still crystal clear in my head, making me smile too. I only knew Mary for four years, so if I remember her like that, I really feel for her daughters Hannah and Molly and her grandchildren, Nora, Freddie, Séamus and Finn who knew her all their lives. My heart goes out to you all and to her brother Patrick. May your Mary rest in peace.

We are very saddened to hear of Mary’s untimely death and our sympathy to her family. We have lovely memories of Mary and mat when they had the lovely cafe and gardens in Doolin. I have some of Mary’s lovely jewelry what a talented lady. Enjoyed visiting her markets and getting her lovely brown bread. Rest In Peace Mary.
