I am deeply saddened to hear the news of Mary's recent death. I was not aware the she was in hospital sick so it was a great shock to hear this news. She was a true friend for many many years. I am currently in London for Christmas with my son and said a prayer and lit a candle for her yesterday. May I pass on my deepest sympathy to all her family.
We were deeply saddened to hear the news of Mary's death in a phone call yesterday from my cousin in Ringsend. Mary Stan and Eileen were greeat friends to my mother Carmel and late father Barney for many years. I remember visiting them in the Pidgeon House as a young boy andhave kept in touch ever since. When they moved to Cambridge Road we visited them whenever we could on our regular trips to Ireland. There was always a great welcome, great chat and many laughs. Regretfully in recent years we had not seen her many times due to short trips to Dublin visiting my parents in various hospitals. The last time we seen her was in October 2007 when she attended my mothers 80th birthday party.
A truly great friend to our family and she will be sadly missed by us all.
Please let us know the location of her grave so that I can visit during my next trip to Dublin, hopefullyt early in 2012
Many thanks and my sincerset condolences to all her family.
