Sincere sympathy to Emma, Niamh, Nora, Damien, Kevin and the extended Healion family on the death of Mary. She was a remarkable person, talented, generous and completely devoted to her family. Mary came from a musical family in Croshaven where her father was a noted tenor. She was an intelligent woman, full of fun and great company. Mary was amazing singer, highly regarded by her fellow musicians and singers in the Abbey Tavern, Howth. She always gave a very aminated and powerful performance. Whenever she sang, it was always straight from the heart and her solo performances were usually the highlight of the night.
Above all, Mary was a thoroughly decent person and always a joy to meet. She will be sadly missed by her many friends.

To Niamh, Garbhan, Polly, Nora, Kevin, Emma, Damien and all of Mary’s family and friends we are devastated to hear of Mary’s passing and for the huge void she has left in your lives.
Niamh we know your mom was one of your best friends and that you and Fiona will be finding it lonely in Soup Dragon without her and missing her yummy baking.
We first met Mary in our old North Strand days living next door to Niamh, Garbhan and Polls. Mary was a true lady, always so welcoming with a lovely fun glint in her eyes and of course we enjoyed her company all the more for being a fellow Corkonian. We loved meeting Mary through the years on our visits to Dunboyne and hearing of her great trips. She was always so young at heart.
We know that Polly adored her grandmother and Mary her and send Polls a special hug from all of us.
Thinking of you all.
Rest in peace Mary xx

I met Mary when she came out to sing at The Abbey Tavern. We became great friends. We went on tour to Canada stopping in New York. First time in a stretch limo. We were so excited. Going to Grenache Village. Phoning from here expecting to be on for a few minutes but two hours laughing and reminiscing iwe thought we should stop. This happened every time. I miss this and will miss Mary who stood by me when I needed her. I am sad today but I have great memories. On Saturday on my radio program I played Mary singing Carrickfergus and Danny Boy, memories . Love to all the family. You had a wonderful mother and sister. Nora thank you for letting me know.
