Sincere sympathy to Hugh and all the Boyle and O'Donnell family members. It was with deep shock and sadness that I learnt of Mary Ita's passing. I have fond memories of her as a kind hearted, good humoured, fun loving person. RIP Mary Ita.

I was so sorry to hear of Mary Ita's passing. I remember her from our youth as an open hearted friend with notable generosity of spirit. I was with her the night she and Hugh got together and had hoped to reconnect with her during my visit to Ireland this summer. Sadly, that was not to be. My sincere sympathies to Hugh and all of Mary Ita's family, friends and community. I have no doubt that she brought love and joy to the lives of many throughout her lifetime.

„There are many rooms in my fathers house“ Mary Ita introduced us this song from Liam Lawton when we stayed at Avalon for the first time. The welcome tea took more than two hours as we had a really nice chat with Mary Ita and Hugh. The second night we already sung hymns together in the front room. We always felt very welcome. All this underlines what lovely, joyful and wonderful person Mary Ita has been. We are very sad about the loss.
Our thoughts and condolences belong to Hugh and the entire family. Mary Ita is now home in our Fathers house. May she rest in peace.

We (McCabe Family) are saddened to learn that Mary Ita has departed this life. We are cherishing wonderful memories of lovely holidays we had in Donegal. Mary Ita and family made us feel so welcome during our time there. May Mary Ita rest in everlasting peace in the arms of Almighty God.

So sad to hear of the passing of Mary Ita. To Hugh , children and family I offer my sincere condolences. I have known Mary Ita for many years through bed and breakfast and meeting at many events. What a lovely lady.
I met up with guests who had became friends from Birmingham in Lanzorate last year, even spoke with her from there.
I know too well the heartbreak ye are going through, sadly I lost my husband in 23

We had the great pleasure of sitting beside Mary Ita and Hugh at the gala dinner, to honour their good friend, Stephen Mc Cahill, when he was selected as 'Donegal Person of the Year'. Stephen spoke about the many people who make a huge contribution in their communities - Mary Ita was one such lady and we will now cherish her wonderful memory.
