Our sincere and heartfelt sympathy on the passing of Mary Ita! May God rest her gentle soul in peace. She was a lovely gentle lady with a prayer on her lips for everyone she met and for all those in any situation. My mom (rip) and Ita could talk for hours to catch up and reminise about their wonderful memories of growing up in Ireland. Our mom cherished these times. My late aunt Patricia and late uncle Brendan Sheehy also loved her visits over the years! I know her kindness touched many lives. I firmly believe everyone greeted her in heaven with hugs and a hot cuppa waiting for her! We pray for Ita and all of you for peace and comfort at this time of great loss.

I have many fond childhood memories of her… the big welcome in the Shanahan home when we visited, helping our late mam prepare for the Stations but most of all the Sunday walks when she held my hand & made me feel special. So very sorry I couldn’t attend the funeral but my thoughts & prayers are with you today as you say your final farewell. Rest in peace, Ita 🌹
