As a childhood friend of Carmel I have fond memories of Josephine and John always being so lovely and kind when I stayed at their house or visited. You could see how proud Josephine was of her family.

It was with great sadness that I learned of the death of my faith friend Josephine. I extend my deepest sympathy to John and all her family. It was her great joy to share her deep faith with the children in our parish schools in Eucharistic Adoration as volunteer with the Apostalate of Children of the Eucharist. My thoughts are with the Creegan and Boylan families on the passing of Josephine. I met her many years ago; a good soul. I was introduced to her by her brother Michael Vincent. Since then, and through the 46 years Michael and I have been very close friends, he has consistently shared with me news of her and other members of his family; I feel like I know them all.
I am certain that Josephine will be missed dearly by her brother Michael and all the members of her families. I will miss hearing news of her. I pray she is at peace, and in a better place with our Creator.

We were truly sorry to learn that Josephine had finally lost her courageous fight for life. We will miss her habitual presence in the church, something she continued to practise almost till the very end. She was a genteel, dignified lady and we know you, John, will miss her terribly as will her family.
