Mary Kate Sweeney
(née McGlynn)

Such precious lifelong memories of Mary Kate, her parents Paddy and Annie, grandparents Bartley and Mary McGlynn, her sister Anne first of all at Clonclayagh.
Then later at Castledooey where I was always welcomed by Mary and her husband Tommy.
Thanks for supplying me with superb home baking and jam(rhubarb with ginger) to take away.
Mary shared her knowledge of family history and played her father's fiddle for me.
I will miss speaking Mary on the phone.
A life well spent and fondly remembered by so many.
I trust she will enjoy the celestial music.
Mary's father Paddy was born in Kirkintilloch, Scotland and a good friend Carolyn McNicholl sent me a copy of entry Paddy's in the register of births.
From this I learned Mary's grandparents Bartley and Mary married on St.Valentine's Day 1899.
My last call to Mary was St.Valentine's Day this year to share this information.
