Sending our deepest condolences to Mary's family. Mary was one of our most wonderful friendly callers. She made such a huge impact on everyone she spoke with. She brought so much joy into the lives of many older people with her wonderful conversation and listening ear. She was a wonderful friend of the elderly. From all the team here in Friends of the Elderly.

I am so sad to hear that Mary has passed. What can I say about her that has not been said already. She was a treasure of a human being. I can honestly say she was a legend. Always smiling, always calm, always kind, always knowledgeable, always supportive to the many many volunteers who passed through Childline over the years. And always humble, downplaying her services both to Childline and Friends of The Elderly. I send my sincere condolences to Mick and all the family.

I got to know Mary during my time in Childline. She was one of the best people I ever encountered & the children who used the services were so privileged to speak to her.

It was a privilege to have worked along side Mary for many years in Childline. She was kind, compassionate and always had a smile for everyone. Even during her own battle over the last few months, she was ever thoughful of others facing their battles too, and was a great support.

Mary was the nicest person I have ever met. I’ve known her for over 30 years. I first met Mary working my part time job in Xtravision Hartstown, she would come in with Brian in his pram then followed Fiona. Over the years we would meet on the street and have a chat. Always smiling soft spoken. She will be missed by all who knew her. Condolences to the Keegan family. May your wife/mam rest in eternal peace 🙏🙏🙏

I was very sad to hear of Marys passing. We lived 6 doors apart on Avondale Park. She, her Dad, Hugh, Deirdre and I travelled daily to Sandymount High School by train. Mary was always a warm, gentle soul. A great loss to all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
