My sincere Condolences to Dick Margaret Declan Allan and the extended family on the death of Mary your beloved Wife Sister Auntie and great friend to so many people down the years
Back in September 1968 I arrived in Newtownmanor as the Housekeeper to the new Priest who had just been appointed to the Parish, and very soon after I arrived there The Darcy family took me under their wings and became such good friends to me over the years. Mary's home in Moneyduff became the house I went to for all sorts of stuff. For cooking tips sewing crochet painting good advice and above all the chat the Craic any excuse to call into Brigid Mary and Margaret to have the cups of Tea (Scald) the homemade buns cakes dinners they were always in abundance in Mary's home. When I'd get back to the Priests house the question would often be asked would the car not pass Darcys
Then came the night in June we went to a dance in Patton's Hall in Dromahair and Mary was with us
When we went to come home we realized that Mary had her own lift that Dick Keegan had swept her off her feet and that he had brought her home to Moneyduff. After that his car become a common sight at Darcys. That was the start of a beautiful friendship and Romance that has lasted down all these years.

Mary I know and experienced your strong faith and Love of God. May he now hold you in The Palm of his Hands.
