Thinking of you all at this sad time. Mary is a huge loss to everybody who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was a truly wonderful lady. She was a great friend of my parents and we have so many wonderful memories of the fun times they had together at ICA trips, St Patrick’s Day parades, Irish music nights, Fleadh Ceoil’s and so many other great trips out. She was a joy to chat with and was always so positive and such great fun. She had a smile that would light up even the greyest day and she had a fabulous sense of humour. She touched everyone she met and left people all the better for having met her. Truly a life lived to the fullest and lived with purpose. RIP with all your friends who have gone before you Mary, you won’t be forgotten.

Mary was respected and loved by everyone who knew her , a wonderful woman with a huge capacity to inspire people , she was always generous with her time and knowledge . Wherever she went she formed new friendships along the way that lasted a lifetime . I had the pleasure of being in Italy with Mary and my late mother Ena Bunyan not too many years ago . Language was not a barrier . Mary had long conversations with people who were replying in Italian , Mary’s engaging smile and enthusiasm spoke every language . While the ladies danced I held their handbags . Mary was also huge fun with a hearty laugh. May Mary now rest in peace after a life well lived , she was a Woman of substance ever before the phrase was coined .
